Zaluzhnyi's resignation. Ukrainian stars thank the general and call him a "warrior of light"

The Ukrainian people reacted differently to the news of the dismissal of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Valeriy Zaluzhnyi. Celebrities, as opinion leaders, also could not keep silent about the important personnel decision of President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Some of them were extremely emotional about the change in the leadership of the Armed Forces, while others called for not to dispel the "betrayal" and to believe in the best. OBOZ.UA decided to find out what Ukrainian stars think and show how they thank the general.

TV presenter Anatoliy Anatolich dedicated a post to the former chief of staff.

"These two years are full of symbolism. In many ways. Here I will remember only the good things. And Valery Zaluzhnyi is undoubtedly one of them. I believe that everything is for the best. That both the general and the president know what they are doing. Why and how? I believe in the president. I believe in Zaluzhnyi. I believe in the Armed Forces," he wrote.

Singer Ruslana addressed Valeriy Fedorovich with words of admiration and gratitude.

"It is an honor for me to be born and live with you in the same country, at the same time, under the same sky on the same land. You are my strength, wisdom, and dignity. The anniversary of the Maidan, the Revolution of Dignity, is approaching. It was then, 10 years ago, that we realized who the "warriors of light" are – that they are people like us, that they are among us. And you are one of them – a real warrior who carries the light and protects it," the singer said in her post.

Actor Taras Tsymbaliuk reacted emotionally to the dismissal of the "Iron General". He emphasized that the soldiers on the front line trusted him a lot.

"He has been in the Armed Forces since 2018 and has been on duty since the early 90s. And this is the rarest case when a person is really in his place. In our country, we finally have such long-term trust in someone. I repeat: a large number of people on the front line trust only him because he is their support, faith, and core!" the concerned actor wrote.

Producer Yuriy Horbunov is not so categorical and believes that the appointment of the new chief of the army, Oleksandr Syrskyi, can have a positive impact on the country.

"Thank you, "iron" general, for everything. I really hope that everything will be for the best," he wrote.

"In the history of Ukraine, the Commander-in-Chief will always remain a person whom the majority of Ukrainians trust and respect. Thank you for continuing to be with us," said host Nadiia Matveeva.

Actress Kateryna Kuznetsova replied to her subscribers that she did not agree with the dismissal of the commander-in-chief.
