Verka Serdyuchka made a grandiose show in New York: even Americans wished "Glory to Ukraine!" and told Putin to get out
Famous Ukrainian singer Verka Serdyuchka, who is embodied on stage by musician and impersonator Andriy Danilko, performed in New York as part of her charity tour Ukraine Will Win in the U.S. and Canada. The artist, who is adored by the public, put on a grandiose show, which was accompanied by regular reminders of the war in Ukraine. In particular, the photo of Valery Zaluzhny, the Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, was traditionally displayed on a huge screen.
What is interesting is that not only Ukrainian refugees or emigrants, but also a large number of Americans came to listen to their favorite hits. They greeted with applause the very portrait of Zaluzhny, and also sang Serdyuchka her modified masterpiece Russia Goodbye. The relevant footage was circulated in social networks (to see the photos and video, scroll to the end of the page).
It is known that the concert in New York was held on September 9 at Kings Theatre in Brooklyn.
Serdyuchka, as well as her whole team, including "mom", performed in embroidered vyshyvanka. There were a lot of Ukrainian symbols on the stage. Dancers of the show-ballet waved blue-yellow flags, and in response the same flags were unfurled in the hall. It was not without loud "Glory to Ukraine!" and answering "Glory to Heroes!"
The audience favorite, who was dubbed "people's antidepressant", joked in her usual manner about the bloody Russian dictator and the terrorist country in general. The viral chant "Putin, so you die!" was traditionally heard.
After the photo of General Zaluzhny appeared on the screen, Serdyuchka made an original summary to her next track: "Going to Putin's funeral...". All in dolce habana."
After the concert, the audience who attended it, left their admiring comments from the energy of the star, wished Ukraine victory and sent Putin. And, as we have already noticed above, not only Ukrainian, but also American fans did it. They spread the hashtags "Fuck war", "Stop war", "Fuck Putin" in comments on Serdyuchka's page.
Fans from Ukraine and the U.S. also wrote, "That was healing! Thank you!", "Best day in the last year and a half!", "Thank you for coming to Brooklyn and spreading Ukrainian culture!", "It was incredible! Soonest victory to you, Glory to Ukraine!"
At the end of the evening, Danilko came out to the audience not as Serdyuchka, but in his everyday clothes. His dancers and "mom" Inna Bilokon were also without costumes. Usually in this part of the concert, the team performs the Ukrainian anthem.
Recall, before that Serdyuchka has already rocked in Miami. There she also sang the anthem of Ukraine, showed Zaluzhny and wished Putin to die. How was the concert - see in our material.
