Ukraine's representative at the Miss World 2023 beauty pageant, Sofia Shamia, has dropped out of the main competition for the crown. It happened at the quarterfinal stage.
The Ukrainian took her place in the top 40 contestants out of 117 but did not make it to the top 12. She was beaten by girls from the Czech Republic, England, and Spain. There were only 3 participants from Europe. This became known to OBOZ.UA during the live broadcast.
Anyway, Sofia Shamia represented her country with dignity, managed to show a gorgeous evening dress, dance an Indian dance, and try on the national costume of India.
The Ukrainian lady did not go without victories. Her charity project aimed at helping children affected by the war was the best among all European participants.
At the runway show, she walked spectacularly, blowing the train of her Steel Lady dress behind her. Her outfit symbolized the resilience, character, and indomitable nature of the entire Ukrainian people.
