The well-known Ukrainian band Okean Elzy, led by frontman Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, has released its first song since 2022, titled Vidpovid (The answer). The emotional and dramatic composition with a black-and-white video touched upon the relatable topic of war.

The release took place on the morning of February 23 on the band's YouTube channel. The lyrics and music were written by Sviatoslav Vakarchuk, and the video was directed by Max Smetana.

The stars immediately answered the question about what their first song since July 2022 is about.

"Vidpovid is about pain and memory, about lifelong gratitude, about the difficult and long road to victory. It is the question of how much longer and the answer that everyone can definitely find in their hearts," the description says.

With their song, Okean Elzy supported millions of Ukrainians who have been living in the terrible realities of a full-scale war for almost two years now but do not lose faith in victory over the Russian occupiers.
