Tina Karol and Lera Mandziuk, who criticized the singer for her "false modesty," met at a concert and put an end to the scandal. Video
Ukrainian singer Tina Karol and stand-up star Lera Mandziuk have put an end to the scandal that erupted when the comedian accused the singer of "false modesty" because she travels in a compartment of Ukrzaliznytsia. The two celebrities met at the 39-year-old's concert at the Ukraine Palace and had a public conversation.
The corresponding video appeared on the stand-up's Instagram page. They had a rather humorous conversation, so Mandziuk left a short comment under the video: "A sense of humor is a superpower."
During Tina Karol's performance, the 27-year-old comedian approached the stage. The singer knelt down and took Lera Mandziuk's hand, after which the celebrities discussed the scandal that had arisen between them for several minutes.
The singer told about the funny comments she saw on social media: "They write: "So is she a prima with or without a filter? Is she blue or red?" To this, the stand-up replied: "So which one are you? Tell people so we know." The singer said briefly: "Heavy."
After a short dialog, the stars hugged each other and Lera Mandziuk returned to the auditorium.
As a reminder, the scandal between the media personalities arose after the stand-up star criticized Karol for her "false modesty" over a video of the performer doing Ashtanga yoga in a Ukrzaliznytsia car. According to the comedienne, it looked "very cheap and staged" as the artist, whom Mandziuk called a prima donna, had to travel between cities in an expensive black Mercedes and with bodyguards.
"I agree that it's a difficult time in Ukraine, that we need to be more modest, we need to be with the people, we need to be human. But this doesn't mean that Tina Karol should be on a train. I would like to see Tina Karol, as the prima donna of the entire Ukrainian land, go to perform for the military. But she has to go there in a black Mercedes. I protest against the fact that false, cheap modesty is being demonstrated. Let's be honest, someone believes that Tina Karol's financial situation does not allow her to travel around Ukraine in a VIP car," the comedian said.
For her part, Tina Karol quickly responded to the stand-up's words on her social media. The artist thanked Lera Mandziuk for calling her a prima donna and noted that she chooses to travel long-distance by train to get enough sleep on the road rather than driving a car. In addition, she offered to meet and chat with the comedian.
