"This news may disappoint you": Eurovision winner canceled their concert in Ukraine and gave the reason
The Swiss singer Nemo, who won the Eurovision Song Contest in 2024, have announced the cancellation of their concert in Kyiv. The performance was supposed to take place as part of the European tour, but the celebrities decided to postpone the show as they focused on creating new music.
The relevant information appeared on the Instagram page of the crystal microphone winners. They added that they understand that this news can be very upsetting for fans, but they are currently focused on creating an album that could be their "best work."
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the postponement of this year's European tour. The dates have been changed to late October and December. I know how much you were all looking forward to this show in the spring, and since you know me, you know how much it means to me to meet you and perform for you. I understand that this news may be disappointing for you and I want to apologize for any inconvenience," the Eurovision 2024 winner wrote.
As Nemo noted, after winning the crystal microphone, they did not have enough time to write and produce a large number of worthy songs. Therefore, they plan to devote the next few months to working on a new album. They added: "I want to create the best work I've ever done and then, when it's ready, I want to tour it with you. I are very grateful for your patience and understanding."
In addition, a photo with new concert dates was posted on the artist's social media. Ukraine is not currently on the tour schedule, but the singer noted that this information will appear soon.
As a reminder, the news of Nemo's first concert in our country, which was to take place in March 2025 at the Atlas club, was announced during the Atlas United festival. On June 12, the winner of the song contest published a schedule of upcoming concerts in Europe and noted that they are working on organizing shows in Greece and Ukraine. On a domestic booking service, ticket prices ranged from 1300 to 5000 hryvnias.
