While Ukrainians assumed that Europeans were unfamiliar with the realities of war and would not know what the lights were falling behind Jerry Heil during Ukraine's performance at Eurovision 2024, foreigners knew what phosphorus bombs were. Moreover, they sympathize with Ukrainians because of the horrors created by Russia.

On her Instagram page, Jerry Heil tried to explain one of the symbols of the number, which she and alyona alyona choreographed by Tanu Muino, a Ukrainian music video maker who collaborates with Hollywood stars. The girl attached a video to a fragment of her performance, filmed during one of the bombings of Ukrainian settlements.

"What do you think it is? Comets? Fireworks?" the vocalist wrote, addressing a foreign audience.

In the comments, representatives of various European countries expressed their sympathy and understanding:

  • "Phosphorus bomb, I'm French, but everyone here knows what it is. You are not alone, my people here support you."
  • "This is the only speech that made sense! And it's a good one at that."
  • "We get it. Your speech was amazing and you conveyed the message so powerfully. Love from Lithuania."
  • "We all immediately understood what it was about. Russia is a terrorist state."
  • "I knew it! This is such a strong message. I heard it loud and clear!"

We remind you that the performance of Jerry Heil and alyona alyona with the song "Teresa & Maria" took third place at Eurovision 2024. The contestants were predicted to fail because of the second-best performance, which is also called the "death hole."
