Rumeysa Gelgi, the world's tallest woman, has shared her ambitious plans for 2025. The Turkish programmer, who turned 28 on January 1, said that she wants to travel the world.

The record holder, whose height reaches 215.16 cm, left her homeland for the first time in 2022 when she traveled to America to shoot a documentary, according to the official website of the Book of Records. Last year, she traveled to the UK for the first time to celebrate Guinness World Records Day with the world's shortest woman, Jyoti Amge. Rumeisa recalls this trip as the highlight of 2024.

"My New Year's resolutions are to visit more countries and sights, return to the United States in 2025, and explore more opportunities related to my personal career," she shared. Rumeysa, who works in the computer industry, did indeed set two new records last year - it was the 10th anniversary of her becoming a record holder. The Turkish native first entered the Book of Records in 2014 as the tallest teenage girl, when she stood 213.6 cm tall.

Earlier, Gelgi spoke about the difficulties she faces every day. In an interview with Unilad, she spoke about the support of her parents. "I live with my parents, with whom I have a very close relationship, especially my mother – it's a huge part of my daily life," said Rumeysa. According to the girl, her mother helps her with "almost everything" physically, even just moving around the house.

Rumeysa needs this help because of the lack of muscle caused by Weaver's syndrome, which can also cause scoliosis or curvature of the spine. "This leads to my physical disability. That's why I need someone's help all the time, especially with physical activity," she says.

In addition to difficulties with walking, Rumeysa cannot sit in a regular car because of implants in her back that prevent her from bending. Helga has difficulty finding clothes and shoes of the right size. But although Rumeysa's height creates some difficulties for her, she does not feel that she has lost much because of her condition.
