The wife of terminally ill Bruce Willis made a statement on the anniversary of the relationship: I feel angry and sad
Emma Heming Willis, the wife of Bruce Willis, the star of the movie Die Hard, congratulated her husband on their anniversary and shared how difficult it is to take care of an actor who is struggling with dementia. The couple have been together for 17 years and have gone through many problems during this time, but the most difficult stage of their life together began last year when the celebrity was diagnosed with an incurable disease.
As Emma Heming Willis noted on Instagram, the anniversary "leaves a heavy feeling in my heart." However, the woman is getting used to the new pace of life.
"17 years of us. Anniversaries used to bring joy – now, to be honest, they stir up all the feelings, leaving a heaviness in my heart and a pit in my stomach. I give myself 30 minutes to sit in the "why him, why us" to feel the anger and grief. Then I shake myself off and come back to what is. And what is... is unconditional love. I feel blessed to know that, and it's because of him. I would do it all again and again without hesitation," Emma Willis frankly admitted.
The 44-year-old model, who married the actor in March 2009, after 15 months of relationship, also showed an archival photo with her lover. In it, the couple is standing at sunset in the sea. They looked incredibly happy.
Now the couple is raising two daughters: 12-year-old Mabel and 10-year-old Evelyn. From his first marriage to actress Demi Moore, Bruce Willis has three more adult daughters – Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah.
It is known that the world learned about the actor's incurable illness in the spring of 2022, but the diagnosis was different then – a disorder that affects the way a person communicates (aphasia). A year later, he was finally diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (FTD), an incurable disease that affects memory and behavior.
