The bride-to-be of Anant Ambani, the son of India's richest man, was accused of "borrowing" her pre-wedding speech from the Hollywood movie Shall We Dance? Radhika Merchant, 29, the daughter of an Indian billionaire, spoke words of love to her lover in front of an audience of 1500 guests, sharing an intimate moment with them.

Last week, Merchant and Anant Ambani's pre-wedding celebration made headlines for the lavishness of the event, which cost more than 4 billion hryvnias. However, inquisitive netizens later discovered that this heartfelt speech was almost a verbatim copy of the one Susan Sarandon gave to Richard Jenkins in the 2004 romantic comedy, the Daily Mail reported.

Some speculate that the bride may have recreated one of her favorite romantic scenes, while others disagree, accusing Radhika of plagiarism.

"In a marriage, you promise to take care of everything: the good things, the bad things, the ugly things, and the mundane things-all of it. You say that your life will not go unnoticed because I will notice it. Your life will not go unnoticed, because I will witness it," the speech reads.

Radhika's words went unnoticed until movie fan Sadiq Saleem posted both videos on Instagram after the celebration. X users expressed their disappointment.

One wrote: "Even ChatGPT could have done better." Others, however, defended Merchant: "Who knows, this could be one of her favorite scenes."

Shall We Dance? tells the story of a married couple: the husband, played by Richard Gere, stays up late to fulfill his new passion for dancing. His wife, Susan Sarandon, begins to suspect something and hires a private investigator, Richard Jenkins, to keep an eye on her husband.
