The NATO base in Sevastopol and the disintegration of Russia into 10 states: Taras Topolya predicted the future of Russia

Taras Topolya, frontman of the band ANTYTILA, who has been actively involved in bringing Ukraine's victory in the war since February 24, 2022, told us what he sees as the only future for Russia and what our country should become. He believes in the inevitability of joining NATO and that Russia will disappear from the world map as a state that occupies half the continent.

Taras Topolya calls himself an optimist, because he is confident only in Ukraine's victory in the war against the terrorist country. As the artist told in an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA, he and the ANTYTILA team have no right to give up and must work to the last for the future of their homeland.

Topolya is confident that the only way to defeat Russia is to disintegrate the aggressor country from within, but for this to happen, the peoples that are currently part of the great empire must contribute. According to him, sooner or later more than 10 new states will be formed on the territory of modern Russia.

"I am convinced that the most effective way to defeat Russia is to cause it to disintegrate from within in one way or another. So that centrifugal forces begin to break away from the center, from this authoritarian vertical, the peoples who are now imprisoned there in Russia. And the sooner these forces start, the better for Ukrainians. So I am sure that sooner or later we will see all these processes. And I really want 10 or even more new states to emerge from the political-territorial formation that is now called the Russian Federation," the musician admitted.

The artist believes that Ukrainians will liberate Crimea from occupation, and ANTYTILA will play the long-awaited promised concert there, which will be organized with the support of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. In particular, Taras Topolya believes that one day our country will join NATO and offer Sevastopol as a location for its base.

"I am really optimistic, because the last thing ANTYTILA will do is to sniffle and give up. We are confident that Crimea will be liberated. We are confident that there will be an ANTYTILA concert there, that Ukrzaliznytsia will allow a train to go there. And we are confident that someday there will be a NATO base in Sevastopol. We have no right to have it any other way, it can't be otherwise. That's why we say so, and if we, you know, were to hold our noses and think only realistically, calculate some kind of balance of power, then, let me remind you, we could have already lost this war on the third day," the singer says.

The artist also spoke about how he sees Ukraine's ideal victory in the war, so that children and future generations will not have to fight terrorists in years to come. First of all, all occupied territories should be liberated, and prisoners of war should be at home with their families.

"Victory is the liberation of all Ukrainian territories, the return of Ukrainians home, the return of all those who are in captivity, the return of Ukrainian children who were abducted, the payment of reparations to all victims of the war, and to the families and relatives of all those who died. It is the restoration of Ukraine, the rebuilding of all destroyed cities and infrastructure. It is a security belt on the border with Ukraine, a demilitarized zone. And it is, of course, Ukraine's accession to the European Union and NATO, and the collapse of the Russian Federation. This is my ideal victory. Reality will show what it will be like in reality," Taras Topolya added.

The musician also explained how he feels about the "good Russians" who became such after 2022, and before that actively supported dictator Vladimir Putin. The showman Maxim Galkin and his wife Alla Pugacheva, who moved to Israel and support Ukraine, were also targeted. 

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the artist reflected on the language situation in Kyiv. According to him, children speak Russian in large numbers, and parents ignore the importance of switching to Ukrainian.
