Actress Kateryna Tyshkevych's mother names the likely cause of the illness that nearly cost her life

Popular actress Katerina Tyshkevich ("Nothing Happens Twice", "On the Line of Life", "Good Guy"), who was in serious condition for a week in one of the clinics in Odesa, is confidently recovering. In a conversation with OBOZ.UA, the artist's mother Natalia Malashchuk admitted for the first time what probably caused the illness that put Katya in intensive care.

According to Natalia Malashchuk, Katya has now been transferred from the intensive care unit to a regular ward. The artist's mother says that doctors have another version of the cause of her headaches, which Tyshkevich has been suffering from for many years.

"Now the doctors' main version is that she got an infection in the hospital where she was treated for headaches, which she has been suffering from for a long time," Natalia Oleksandrivna says. And on the third day after the catheter was inserted, Katya's arm began to hurt and her temperature rose. At first, it was not connected to her arm, because the situation was not very severe - just thrombophlebitis, as sometimes happens after an intravenous drip."

Natalia Malashchuk says that her daughter's fever could not be brought down for several days. They had to call an ambulance: "The tests showed that there was severe inflammation in the body. Sepsis began. My arm was getting worse before my eyes. And it became clear: the cause was there."

Now, according to Kateryna Tyshkevych's mother, they are waiting for the results of the final conclusions of what happened: "Either the procedure was not properly cleaned, or there was a problem with the catheter, or the drug itself was not sterile - this is being investigated. Let the doctors make a decision and establish a cause-and-effect relationship. Katya has no bloodthirsty moods, the main thing is that other people do not get hurt."

"Recently, Katya has been in a very difficult psychological state because we have been looking for the cause of her headaches for a long time, constantly treating her. Her immune system was weakened due to emotional stress. Now the doctors have another version in the works, that perhaps the cause of her headaches is an autoimmune disease. But this still needs to be investigated to make a final decision. And maybe that's why she had such a reaction. I don't remember how I lived, how I slept - it was a complete blackout," Natalia Malashchuk added.
