The Financial Times has recognized Olena Zelenska as one of the most influential women in the world

Zelenska is among the top 25 most influential women in the world according to the Financial Times

The wife of the President of Ukraine, Olena Zelenska, has been recognized as one of the most influential women in the world by the Financial Times. She was honored in the "heroes" category in a list of 25 winners.

Kaja Kallas, the Prime Minister of Estonia, who was quoted by the newspaper, said she admired the Ukrainian first lady. The full list of the world's most influential women is available on the website.

"What I admire most about Olena Zelenska is her honesty. A screenwriter by profession, she knows how not to overstate things. Four months after Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Zelenska told a journalist: "None of us are okay." She knows what it's like to wake up and see your homeland invaded by an imperialist neighbor, to not know when or if you will see your loved ones next, to find the strength to fight for freedom no matter what," the article says.

Olena Zelenska was called a global symbol of resilience and praised for her efforts to raise awareness of mental health.

"Her work shedding light on the suffering and deportation of Ukrainian children by Russia makes me remember the story of my own family: the Russians deported my mother to Siberia when she was a child. Estonia is working with the Zelenska Foundation to build family homes for children who have been orphaned by Russian bombs," Kaja Kallas said.

It is worth explaining that the Financial Times ranking of the most influential women is based on the opinions of other prominent people. That is, each of the opinion leaders is nominated for this award by other influential women. Accordingly, Kaya Kallas voted for Zelenska's candidacy.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the authoritative Politico magazine recently named the most influential people in Europe. Nine "dreamers" were headed by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He was put on a par with Winston Churchill, Martin Luther, and other political figures who can change the course of history.
