Oleksandr "Teren" Budko, a veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the main character of The Bachelor 13, reacted to the words of the controversial millionaire blogger Tanya Prentkovich, who said that she probably would not be able to build a relationship with a person in a wheelchair. A public figure who lost his limbs during a combat mission expressed his disappointment in Ukrainian influencers because they have not yet realized the importance of inclusion.

A week ago, answering questions from her subscribers, Tanya Prinkovich shared her opinion on the new season of the romantic reality show The Bachelor. "Speaking for Oleksandr, I like him as a person," the influencer wrote, "but would I go to build a relationship with a person who is bound to a cart - rather no than yes."

Later, Teren itself responded to Prantkovic's statement. "The sad thing is that media people still do not know how to use words correctly: not 'disabled' but a person with a disability, not 'cart' but a wheelchair, this is basic respect for their audience in the first place," the military man said.

Budko continued: the blogger's posts made him think about how "our society is ready to accept and understand that disability is not a sentence, but a part of life." According to the veteran, he did not come to The Bachelor to prove his "normality" to anyone, because the dreams of people with disabilities do not differ from the desires of most citizens.

"My prostheses or even sometimes my wheelchair are just a part of me, but not what defines me. The fact that I have a disability doesn't make me less worthy of love or a happy life," explained Teren. "I want this season to be not just a project, but an example of how stereotypes can be broken."

It is worth noting that Prentkovich wrote a comment under the "bachelor's" post, where she tried to justify herself for what she said. However, the blogger said that her words were "taken out of context." "I replied that I probably wouldn't be able to build a relationship with a person in a wheelchair because I'm not that brave," the influencer commented, "It's not very nice of you to twist words. And now I, a pregnant woman, am receiving negative comments about me... It's unpleasant."

Earlier, Prentkovich was involved in a high-profile scandal - her boyfriend, blogger-entrepreneur Andriy Gonkovsky, went abroad as a "volunteer" and flew to the Maldives to rest with his chosen one. After a public outcry, the influencers' family said that they felt "unsafe" in their native Ternopil, so the couple and their children ended up in Portugal. Later, Prenktovych and Gonkovsky recorded a "tearful" video explaining their decision to go abroad, but they faced a new wave of hate.
