Sting, who supports Ukraine, sang the hit Shape of My Heart accompanied by a bandura: the melody was played by an Armed Forces soldier. Video
The British singer Sting, known worldwide for his song Shape of My Heart, sang his hit song to the accompaniment of a bandura. Taras Stoliar, a soldier of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and a member of the "Cultural Landing," was sitting behind the Ukrainian national musical instrument.
The video was posted on the Facebook page of Radio ROKS. It shows a bandura player dressed in a military uniform playing the tune "Shape of My Heart" on the instrument, while Sting sits opposite him and performs his hit from start to finish.
"It's as if Sting wrote Shape of My Heart for the bandura," the radio shared.
Ukrainians were delighted with the performance:
- "What a noble sound this instrument has!"
- "Incredible. This gives me goosebumps."
- "So compare the level of intelligence and development of the k*tsaps with their balalaika and us with the bandura."
- "This is something extraordinary! Taras and Sting, you two are a great duo!"
- "All genius is in simplicity and openness."
- "This is what harmony looks like."
Sting has been supporting Ukrainians since the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion. He often called for donations to Ukraine and donations to the victims. The singer also promised never to perform for Russian oligarchs, as he periodically played concerts for them.
