Sting canceled concerts on doctor's advice

British singer Sting has canceled his upcoming concerts due to health problems. Also, on the recommendation of a doctor, the artist will miss the Bass Magazine Awards ceremony, where he was to be honored for his lifetime achievements.

The Police frontman announced that he is postponing his shows in Phoenix, Arizona, and Wheatland, California. His official Instagram post says that the concerts were originally scheduled for the end of January.

Sting's team advised fans to keep their tickets and follow the messages on social media. The artist himself, whose name is Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, apologized and thanked his fans for their understanding.

"On the advice of his doctor, due to illness, Sting regrets to cancel his performance at the Bass Magazine Awards this Thursday and postpone the STING 3.0 show in Phoenix, originally scheduled for January 24, to June 1," said Sting's representative. The artist's next performance will take place on February 8 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
