STB's The Bachelor Oleksandr "Teren" names the most important quality for women applying for casting: who do not have a chance
The new hero of the 13th season of The Bachelor, war veteran Oleksandr "Teren" Budko, gave his first interview as a bachelor and shared what women should apply for the show. The man has a principled civic position, so those who violate it will not receive a red rose.
For him, sincerity and intelligence are important factors in an interlocutor and future loved one. As the hero told Emma Antoniuk in an interview, only when he sees reciprocity from the other side can he open up and "be vulnerable."
"As I said before, the first thing that matters to me is a person's intelligence, how much they share it with me, their life position, and then, of course, appearance will be a bonus," he said, adding, "Human sincerity is important. When a person actually comes to the project not for subscribers, not for their own fame, vanity. They come to get to know each other."
However, he is most concerned about the Ukrainian-speaking participants and the lack of stereotypes about the military. Oleksandr "Teren" explained how the future participant's worldview may contradict his own, "No more 'All veterans are PTSD sufferers, it does not matter what language to speak', etc... It's important [the language of communication]. But if you speak English, I can speak English, then [I agree]... Thirdly, she needs to watch all the episodes of Vidval Nih [Budka's own YouTube project on the relevance of urbanism adapted for inclusive people] in order to be in the context of the problem of people with disabilities in Ukraine."
The veteran does not like a specific type of woman. He claims that he also won't accept a person whose beauty may be perfect according to social standards but whose thoughts are degraded. On the contrary, he will pay attention to a person with whom it is interesting to communicate even if her appearance "does not fall under the standards of beauty."
"I don't look up to Miss Universe. I don't build ideals for myself, I don't build idols or authorities for myself. It can be anyone. I mean, the main thing for me is the inner world I'm talking about. Maybe a woman who, you know, doesn't meet the standards of beauty, but she will have something inner, some energy, just some external facial feature, or just her behavior that will attract me. It won't matter to me who she is, or whether she was even a Miss of anything. It's just that this person will attract me," the veteran assured.
Interestingly enough, Teren doesn't mind if The Bachelor ends after season 13. Allegedly, after all the scandals, gossips, and sexism, the finale should be optimistic and democratic.
"Maybe I would have agreed [to close the show]. Not because I want no one to be after me. This is actually what we talked about: a sexist show, a wrong show, and so on. Because there are so many good things, good narratives that can be shown through it now. And what else can we show when we have already reached the point where a veteran, a person with a disability, a Ukrainian who respects women, is in this show? Who is next? So, yes, this will probably be the last season of the 13th series," Oleksandr said.
