"She sang for $30": Mykhailo Yasynskyi reveals a little-known fact about Svitlana Loboda
Ukrainian producer Mykhailo Yasynskyi, who has worked with such stars as Olia Poliakova, Max Barskykh, Alan Badoev, Tayanna, and others, has revealed a little-known fact about singer Svitlana Loboda. It turns out that the singer's musical career didn't start with the bands "Cappuccino" and "VIA Gra."
The owner of the Secret Service Entertainment Agency told how Svitlana Loboda was a jazz artist in a nightclub in Irpin, which was very popular in the early 2000s. At the time, Yasynskyi was the art director and was looking for a singer to perform live in the club. The producer spoke about this in an interview with "DIM" TV channel.
"I worked as an art director of a nightclub in Irpin. It was a very fashionable place in 2000. On Thursdays, I needed a jazz singer. The budget was $30," he recalls. According to the guest, he turned to Alina Zavalska, who was studying at the Kyiv Academy of Circus and Variety Arts at the time.
"And I asked Ania if there was anyone among your students who could work. She said there was a girl. And this girl turned out to be Svieta Loboda. We met her and became friends," says Yasynskyi. Later, the star became a member of "VIA GRA," but in 2004 she returned to working with the producer.
It was after that that such hits as "Wait, Man" and "Mishka, Nasty Boy" were born. "We came to a certain result together, created two hit songs. We started playing concerts, our fees went up, we started working systematically, and we set up an office," Yasynskyi said.
At the time, the choreographer of the group was Yurii Bardash, who now supports the war in Ukraine and has received Russian citizenship. The second dancer was Kostiantyn Borovskyi from "Quest Pistols." The celebrity's tour manager was Artem Umrikhyn, better known by his pseudonym Artik from the traitor duo "Artik & Asti."
"She was the same ambitious girl I didn't fully understand. When it became clear to me that some other ideas and some other projects were impossible within this company, I created another agency. She didn't understand it, and that's okay for her," the producer says.
