Russian New Year's Eve shelling damaged Olia Poliakova's house in the center of Kyiv: the singer was miraculously unharmed
As a result of the Russian shelling on January 1, on New Year's Eve, the house where the singer Olia Poliakova's apartment is located was damaged. The artist was miraculously unharmed, as she was out of town.
On New Year's Eve, Russians attacked the capital with drones, partially destroying a residential building in the Pechersk district, and killing a married couple of scientists, Ihor Zyma and Olesia Sokur. As Olia Poliakova reported on InstaStories, part of the building where her apartment was located was attached to the one that was hit by the "shahed."
She did not report on the condition of her property but only showed the footage of the destruction that was previously published by the State Emergency Service.
"My house is united with the one it hit," the singer said and added: "We were outside the city, fortunately... My condolences to the victims."
As you know, Olia Poliakova spends a lot of time in her country house, which is located 80 kilometers from the capital in a picturesque area near the Dnipro River.
As a reminder, the singer did not live in the apartment in the Pechersk district for about 4 years but returned there in the fall of 2024. Due to her long absence, the ceiling collapsed, and it took time to repair it. Back in 2021, the artist complained that the roof of the house was leaking.
The design was left the same, but everything was changed. The ceiling was changed, the floor was changed. You remember, my ceiling was leaking a lot," Poliakova said. "They replaced everything, it took a long time because I hadn't lived in this apartment for four years.
