Rocket attacks did not stop: American actor Misha Collins met with Zelensky and became UNITED24 Ambassador
Hollywood actor and "Supernatural" star Misha Collins met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the head of the UU Andriy Yermak during his visit to Kyiv. The celebrity became an Ambassador of the fundraising platform UNITED24 in the direction of "Humanitarian Demining".
This was reported on the page of the platform in social networks. The head of state thanked the star for joining the Ambassador team and emphasized that helping Ukraine with the purchase of demining machines is a big and difficult task.
"When we liberate our territories from the occupiers, we get a lot of problems because of the mined area. Today we have more than 200,000 square kilometers of mined areas. And we feel a great shortage of equipment to cope with such a vast territory," said Volodymyr Zelensky.
The website of the fundraising platform says that despite the rocket attacks on the capital, the celebrity came to Ukraine to express support for our country not only in words. The American will visit the Kyiv and Chernihiv regions in the next few days, where he will see the work of Ukrainian bomb squad soldiers.
It's worth saying, Collins wrote on his Instagram that he was honored to stand alongside Volodymyr Zelensky, and the de-mining operation would save the lives of thousands of innocent Ukrainians. "I'm honored to stand with the president of Ukraine and the people, but we need you to stand with us as well. People keep asking me, "What can I do?" This is something we can all do. Please help us clear civilian areas of Ukraine to prevent thousands of senseless deaths," reads the Hollywood star's blog.
Recently OBOZREVATEL informed that the star of the "Vikings" series, actress of Ukrainian descent Catherine Vinnik became the first UNITED24 ambassador from Canada. The celebrity will focus on the "Rebuilding Ukraine" program, which will help rebuild homes in war-torn areas.
