Princess Beatrice prematurely gave birth to a daughter who was named after an ancient Greek goddess. The first photo
The niece of King Charles III of Great Britain, Princess Beatrice, and her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi became parents. On January 22, their daughter was born, named after the ancient Greek goddess Athena Elizabeth Rose.
The good news was announced on the official website of the royal family. Even though Her Highness gave birth to a girl prematurely, as the birth was supposed to take place in early spring, the new mother and baby are doing well.
It is noted that Athena Elizabeth Rose Mapelli Mozzi was born at the Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in London at 12:57 pm. The baby weighed 4 pounds and 5 ounces (just over 2 kilograms).
"Last week, baby Athena came into our lives. She is small and absolutely perfect. We all (including Wolfie and Sienna) are in awe of her. Our hearts are full of love for you, baby Athena," the new father wrote on his social media.
The relationship between Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi began in 2018. Their romance developed quite quickly, and in 2019 the couple got engaged. The public wedding ceremony took place on July 17, 2020, at All Saints Chapel in Windsor.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi had their first daughter together in 2021, and before that, they had already raised her husband's son from his first marriage, Christopher Wolfe.
