"Poles open documents and are shocked": Khrystyna Reshetnyk explains why she and her children were turned back at the border with Poland

The wife of TV host Hryhoriy Reshetnyk, blogger Khrystyna Reshetnyk, who was turned around at the Ukrainian-Polish border before her long-awaited vacation to America, has revealed the reason for this situation. She said that nothing critical had happened, but she had to stay two hours in her homeland before traveling abroad with her children.

She told InstaStories that the problems arose because of the "Green Card" for leaving Ukraine by car. It turned out that on January 1, a new law on its issuance and validity came into force, and Khrystyna Reshetnyk did not know about it.

"It turns out that from January 1, 2025, new conditions for purchasing a Green Card came into effect. I didn't know this, because whenever I apply for a Green Card online, I always apply for it on the day of my departure. Here, when I went to the website, I saw that it could be issued only the next day. I thought, okay, I'll apply for it, and we'll see. When I arrived at the border, the Ukrainians let me through very quickly, and the Poles opened the documents and were shocked. They said: "Oh, my God! You have two more hours." Because it was 10:00 p.m., and the Green Card starts at 24:00. And they said: "Sorry, turn back," the blogger said.

She noted that she had to cross the Ukrainian border again and wait for these two hours for the Green Card to work, and she was able to enter Poland.

"I want to warn you so that you understand in the future that there are now new rules for buying a Green Card. It must be issued in advance, at least one day in advance, so that it starts working properly," added Khrystyna Reshetnyk.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that the blogger had another trouble while traveling. Upon arrival at the airport, she found out that her flight was delayed, so she had to wait again.
