Podkopaeva aptly explained the difference between Zelenskyy and Yama: you can go with the flow, or you can become a train that pulls all the cars

Lilia Podkopaeva, an absolute Olympic champion in gymnastics and a legend of Ukraine, was once well acquainted with both Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Vlad Yama. In particular, they all participated in the Dancing with the Stars project (1+1). Fate made unexpected maneuvers, and the former, a comedian and showman, became the president of a country fighting for its freedom and independence, while the latter, a choreographer, became a shameful fugitive who illegally left for the United States.

In an exclusive interview with OBOZ.UA, Podkopaeva admitted that she thinks about two such contrasting stories. She noted that Zelenskyy has always inspired a sense of trust in people, which became especially evident during his presidency.

"I have known Volodymyr for many years. He has always been a professional, a very nice and charismatic person who cannot leave anyone indifferent. There is trust in him, there is a certain gift, and all this is in one person," the gymnast said.

As for Yama, the legendary athlete did not say anything bad, noting that everyone should be responsible for their own decisions. Nevertheless, Podkopaeva aptly noted the difference between a dancer and a sitting president – someone goes with the flow, while someone becomes a locomotive.

"As for Vlad Yama, everyone has their destiny. You can go with the flow, or you can be the train that pulls all the cars, in this case, the whole country. Of course, there are questions here, and everyone draws their conclusions, but I can't condemn anyone, you know. It's just a statement of fact that each of us makes a decision that is right for us," the Olympic champion wisely commented.
