Stars who raised the flag of Ukraine at their concerts

On August 23, Ukrainians celebrate the Day of the National Flag. Blue and yellow colors are associated all over the world with strength, indestructibility, aspiration for victory and freedom. Many world stars, wishing to show their support and solidarity to the Ukrainian people, raise the blue-yellow symbol at their concerts to the applause of thousands of audience.

On National Flag Day, OBOZREVATEL decided to remember about some world-famous friends of Ukraine, who during performances do not forget about our country and remind the audience about it, raising the blue-yellow flag from the stage. And they do it regularly.

Paul McCartney

One of the founders of the legendary band The Beatles has openly supported Ukraine since 2014 and has not changed his position after the full-scale invasion. Last May, the 16-time Grammy Award winner was pictured holding a huge blue-and-yellow flag at a concert in Spokane, Washington. He then repeated the gesture in June during his performance in Boston.

Rammstein

The frontman of the cult rock band Till Lindemann helped Ukrainian refugees at the Berlin train station at the beginning of the full-scale invasion along with other volunteers. However, Rammstein's support of Ukraine didn't end there. At their concerts in Warsaw (Poland), Zurich (Switzerland) and others, the musicians unfurled huge Ukrainian flags.

Imagine Dragons

The frontman of the American band Dan Reynolds also devotes special attention to Ukraine and the war theme at literally every concert. He not only unfurls the flag, but also dedicates separate compositions to Ukrainians. For example, the musician performs the iconic song Forever Young in memory of the children who died as a result of Russian aggression. In addition, Imagine Dragons are UNITED24 ambassadors. Not so long ago they performed in Poland, unfurling a flag with the logo of the platform. The artists were helped by 14-year-old Sasha from Mykolaiv region, whose house was destroyed by the occupants. The boy became the protagonist of the band's music video for their new hit Crushed.

Harry Styles

The world-famous British singer can be safely called an ambassador of the blue-yellow flag. Videos of Harry Styles waving Ukrainian symbols from the stage at every new concert of his world tour are regularly circulated in the network.

Red Hot Chili Peppers

The iconic American rock band is also helping Ukraine to keep an information front, actively telling its fans around the world about Russian terror and the need to help Ukrainians. And during a concert in Miami last August, lead singer Anthony Kiedis went on stage with a blue-and-yellow flag. A photo from that performance appeared on the band's social networks with the caption: "We love Ukraine".
