On the occasion of Vyshyvanka Day, which is celebrated in Ukraine on May 16, Ukrainian celebrities flaunted their national wardrobe items. Embroidered shirts, blouses, and dresses flooded the social media of media Ukrainians promoting their culture to a multimillion audience.

Some embroidered shirts were created by famous brands, while the cost of others is difficult to find out, but they all looked stylish and symbolic in the images of stars. OBOZ.UA collected some of the photos they showed.

Singer Tonya Matvienko posted a delicate photo in a white dress embroidered with golden patterns by Yulia Magdych. The cost of the outfit, called "Vechornytsi," on the website is over 77 thousand hryvnias.

Kateryna Osadcha, a TV presenter, is another fan of the Ukrainian brand. Her blouse with long, flared sleeves will cost about 38 thousand hryvnias. "Today is the most elegant day of the year, when we take out our favorite embroidered shirt and proudly remind the world that we are a nation with our own cultural code," the High Life star wrote.

Her colleague Liliia Rebryk, who gave birth to her third daughter two months ago, came to work on Vyshyvanka Day in a Barbie look, consisting of a pink dress with embroidery and blond curls.

TV presenter Masha Yefrosynina chose an archive photo from peacetime for her profile. In a white embroidered dress, the artist was lying on the grass, but at the time she did not understand what the national costume meant to her.

"Vyshyvanka is our cultural code that unites generations and symbolizes our unique spiritual and cultural heritage. May each embroidered shirt become a talisman that gives strength, inspiration, and protection," Pavlo Zibrov wished Ukrainians.

Representatives of Ukraine at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024, alyona alyona & Jerry Heil, also showed a photo in embroidered outfits.
