Meghan Markle and Prince Harry also got caught up in the photoshop scandal: manipulations were noticed in Archie's christening photo
The official photo from Prince Archie's christening, showing a proud Duke and Duchess of Sussex, has become yet another royal image embroiled in a "photoshopped saga." Global photo agency Getty said the portrait was "digitally enhanced".
However, according to the Daily Mail, there are no eyewitnesses to the image showing signs of editing. The photo, taken by fashion photographer Chris Allerton, was published after Archie's christening on July 6, 2019.
It shows the two-month-old baby with Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, King Charles, Camilla, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Meghan's mother Doria Ragland and Princess Diana's sisters. Chris Allerton denied that the photo was photoshopped.
The new accusation comes after the furor caused by the portrait of the Princess of Wales on Mother's Day - Kate Middleton admitted that the image was edited by her. Several international news agencies have withdrawn the photo from circulation.
Earlier, OBOZ.UA talked about the portrait of the late Queen with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, taken by Catherine in August 2022 in Balmoral, which received the same label from Getty. Both photographs have an "editor's note" that can be seen in the photo agency's captions, which state: "The image has been digitally enhanced at the source."
