Matthew Perry's last words have become known: the Friends star spoke to his arrested assistant
Police reports revealed what Matthew Perry, the lead actor of the Friends series, said before his death, who died of a ketamine overdose in 2023. The last person to see the star was his assistant, who had already been detained and interrogated.
Kenneth Iwamasa, the actor's assistant, admitted that his boss asked him for a large dose of the drug, which is used to treat depression. This was reported by Page Six.
According to the detainee, before he left Perry's house, the actor said: "Give me more injections." Shortly afterward, Kenneth found Matthew's body in a Jacuzzi.
Iwamasa, 59, and four other people were charged in connection with the celebrity's death. The assistant admitted that he had listened to the actor and injected him with ketamine at 8:30 am on October 28. He received a second dose about four hours later when he was watching a movie.
This was allegedly not enough for the actor, so he asked his assistant to prepare a Jacuzzi and inject him with a third dose, which was too much for the actor. After fulfilling the request, Kenneth, as he claims, left the house, and upon his return, he found the actor without signs of life.
According to Iwamasa's guilty plea, he had been injecting Perry with ketamine, which is used in medicine for anesthesia, for about a month. Despite these "treatments," the actor also received doses from his doctor, who prescribed him a drug to treat depression.
The police arrested people who allegedly sold Matthew the drug and asked him "how much this asshole would pay." The Friends star talked about his addiction problems in his memoirs.
