Kate Middleton violated royal protocol during a trip to Wales: the moment was caught on video

Kate Middleton violated royal protocol

Kate Middleton, 43, broke one of the rules of royal protocol during a recent trip to Wales. The wife of Prince William was about to leave the Corgi Socks knitting factory, but at some point stopped the motorcade to talk to 3-year-old Lily Rose.

According to Cosmopolitan, the Princess of Wales heard the girl calling out to her from the crowd, so she wanted to have a little chat. This decision by Her Highness is quite unusual for the British royal family, as they almost never stop their cars after any visit.

"I heard you shout out: "Hello," and I wanted to come closer to see you," said Kate Middleton, holding the girl's hand.

Later, after a short conversation with the Princess of Wales, Lily Rose decided to give Her Highness her banana toy. Prince William's chosen one held it in her hands for a few seconds and returned it to the little owner. The 3-year-old girl threw the toy to the side, but Kate Middleton calmly picked up the child's item and gave it to the older people.

The Princess of Wales' decision to stop the royal motorcade to talk to Lily Rose came as a real surprise to her mother. The woman said: "It was very exciting. We didn't even expect it to happen." She also shared that she had a rather pleasant impression of Kate Middleton after the meeting, because she is a very "sweet and sincere" person.
