Kate Middleton visited the hospital where she was treated for cancer

Princess Kate Middleton of England paid a visit to the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, where she was undergoing cancer treatment. This was her first solo public appearance after a year-long break since the end of 2023.

Kate expressed her gratitude to the medical staff for their care and support during her treatment. "It's actually very nice to come in here through the front door after so many quiet, private visits," she said as she entered the hospital. Details of the Princess's visit were published by The Mirror.

During a meeting with a patient who had just started chemotherapy, the Duchess shared her thoughts on the importance of moral support: "Treatment is really so different and varied that it affects families in different ways." She also noted that the long-term side effects of chemotherapy are sometimes overlooked but need to be properly understood.

Kate Middleton also shared her experience of treatment and how she managed to raise three children at the same time.

"I'm just trying to do the best I can. If you think the treatment is over, get on with it... the daily tasks... but it's still a real challenge. And understanding that as a patient, yes, there are side effects associated with treatment, but there are actually longer-term side effects," the princess added.

Last year, Kate Middleton spoke openly about her fight against cancer. In February, she was diagnosed with cancer, and after a public statement, she underwent chemotherapy. During the rehabilitation period, the princess almost completely removed official duties from her schedule, but still attended several important events, including the Wimbledon Championships and the Trooping the Color parade.

According to a spokesperson for Kensington Palace, this return to public life is a gradual process, and Kate Middleton is committed to combining her new role with support for patients and their families.
