Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, and Matt LeBlanc broke their silence to remember "Friends" star Matthew Perry

Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox dedicated posts to Matthew Perry

Jennifer Aniston, Matt LeBlanc, and Courteney Cox, who portrayed Rachel, Joey, and Monica, broke their silence to honor the memory of their friend Matthew Perry. The actor, who played Chandler, passed away over two weeks ago at the age of 54, but his co-stars had not yet found the strength to address fans.

So far, three of the five main characters from Friends have spoken out. Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer, who played Phoebe and Ross, have remained silent. Aniston, Cox, and LeBlanc's posts on social media brought fans of the series to tears.

Joey was Chandler's best friend, and they rarely parted, living together and supporting each other.

"Matthew, it is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye. The time we spent together is honestly one of my favorite periods of my life. It was an honor to share the stage with you and call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you, and I will never forget you. Ever. Spread your wings and fly brother; you are finally free. Much love. And I guess you can keep the 20 bucks you owe me," wrote Matt LeBlanc.

The post garnered almost 9 million likes in 18 hours.

Courteney Cox played not only Perry's girlfriend but also his lover. The Monica and Chandler couple was an example for many fans, and they believed in their love even before the writers incorporated it into the plot.

"I'm so grateful for every moment I've had with you, Matty, and I miss you every day. When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now, this is one of my favorites: Chandler and Monica were supposed to spend one night in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story. In this scene, before we started filming, he whispered a funny line to me," recalled Courteney Cox.

Jennifer Aniston is rumored to be having a very difficult time dealing with the death of her friend. The inner circle is seriously concerned about the emotional state of the star, who is "grief-stricken" and cannot recover from the tragedy. Together with her friends, she still found the strength to remember Matthew Perry.

"God, how deeply it touched me... Saying goodbye to our Matty brought on a wave of emotions that I had never experienced before. We loved him so much. He was part of our DNA. In the last couple of weeks, I've been re-reading our messages to each other. I laughed and cried, then laughed again. I will keep them forever. Mattie, I love you so much, and I know you are at complete peace and in no pain right now. I talk to you every day. Sometimes I can almost hear you saying: 'Can you get any crazier?'" the actress wrote.

On November 3, the actor was buried at Forest Lawn Cemetery in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood of Los Angeles. The modest private ceremony was attended by all the leading actors of the cult TV series Friends.

As you know, the police searched the deceased's apartment. They did not find any drugs, on which the filmmaker had been addicted for many years, but they did find a lot of prescription drugs, including antidepressants.

The results of initial toxicology tests showed whether Perry died of an overdose. Fans speculate that the actor could have committed suicide.

Earlier, OBOZ.UA told about the women Matthew Perry was in love with and loved. In 2020, the actor finally got engaged, but the wedding was later canceled. All the details are in our article.
