Jennifer Aniston breaks down in tears when asked about Friends months after Matthew Perry's death
Jennifer Aniston, star of the sitcom Friends, burst into tears when asked about the series. The actress probably remembered her deceased colleague Matthew Perry, with whom she was very close.
According to The Mirror, the question was about the legacy of the TV project, which stars can appreciate three decades after its premiere. However, the interviewer never heard the answer.
The American actress, who gained worldwide fame for her role as Rachel Green in the sitcom, tilted her head up to keep her tears from smearing her makeup.
"Oh, my God, don't make me cry," Aniston could only say, covering her face with one hand.
In response, the host assured her that they could not talk about a topic that brought the actress so much pain, but she hastened to reassure her interlocutor.
"I'm sorry, I just started thinking about... I'm fine, they're tears of happiness," she said, obviously referring to her happy memories with Matthew Perry.
As a reminder, the Friends star passed away prematurely on October 28, 2023. His body was found by his assistant, who called the emergency services.
Law enforcement officers did not find drugs in the deceased's apartment, which the actor had been addicted to for many years. However, they did find a lot of prescription drugs, including antidepressants.
The results of toxicology tests refuted the version that Perry could have died of an overdose. Neither fentanyl nor methamphetamine was found in his system. Aniston was texting with a friend the morning of his death. She noted that he did not suffer, but was quite happy
