"It was something": 90s star Astraya reveals whether she regrets the controversial nude photo shoot

The popular singer of the 90s Astraya once decided to do a very revealing photo shoot for a Ukrainian magazine. The publication was titled "The Last Virgin of Ukrainian Pop" and received a lot of backlash.

In an interview with OBOZ.UA, the singer admitted whether she regrets her boldness at the time. She also told us whether she still has the footage.

"Yes, it was something then. But now I look at how today's women are photographed, and I think I can be called just a modesty," says Astraya. "I don't regret doing that photo shoot because it's my memory. I even have one copy of that issue at home. And the Internet remembers everything, so you can also find the cover of the issue there."

Earlier, in an interview with the Bulvar magazine, for which she posed nude, the singer admitted that she wouldn't mind repeating the nude photo shoot, "If you present it well and make art out of it, why not? I'm in good shape, I can still set an example for young people. I like it when everything is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing. After all, I'm the mother of a grown boy and I would have done my best to make my child proud of me."

"After that experiment in Bulvar, if I had lived abroad, my grandchildren would have already been provided for," the singer added, "It was fun. It was a shock for Ukraine at the time. My producer decided that I should do the movie, even though I was not mentally ready for it. When I was offered the role, I was worried about my family's reaction. I remember that after that, my grandmother was asked at work, 'Did you see it?' and she answered, 'No, it's not her, it's fake'."
