Holocaust survivor makes Kate Middleton laugh with original compliment: what she said
Princess Kate Middleton of Wales received an unexpected compliment during a commemorative ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau. One of the attendees, 94-year-old Robert George Berkowitz, a Holocaust survivor, addressed Her Royal Highness.
"William is very lucky: he is the luckiest man in the world to have you!" said Kate Middleton's husband. This was reported by the media HOLA!
Kate Middleton couldn't help but smile, smiled and replied: "I'll tell him that!"
This brief but sincere conversation was one of the warmest moments of the event, which brought together Holocaust survivors, religious and community leaders, and members of the royal family.
The Princess of Wales joined her husband, Prince William, at the commemorative event, having made a last-minute decision. When meeting the participants, she said: "It's good that I can be here."
The ceremony at the Guildhall was the first joint public appearance of the couple in 2025. Prior to that, Kate Middleton made her first official appearance after a long cancer treatment - on January 14, she visited the Royal Marsden Hospital.
In addition to the Prince and Princess of Wales, King Charles III also paid tribute to the victims. He became the first British monarch to personally visit the Auschwitz-Birkenau concentration camp. In Poland, he met with the survivors and called the visit "somber and sacred."
Earlier, OBOZ.UA wrote that Kate Middleton was offered to appear on the cover of a global glossy. Her Highness has already worked with the creators of the fashion magazine, as she appeared on its cover in 2016.
