"From Chernihiv to New York": Andre Tan spoke about the peculiarities of Zelenska's outfit for the meeting with the WHO Director-General in the USA
First Lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska met with the Director-General of the World Health Organization (WHO) Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus in the United States, for which she chose a restrained but sophisticated black pantsuit. Its highlight is an asymmetrical elongated jacket with a fitted cut.
This outfit was created for the wife of the President of Ukraine by the famous Ukrainian designer Andre Tan. He described the features of his product on his Instagram page. (scroll to the bottom of the page to see the photo).
Thus, the first lady appeared at the meeting in an elegant black suit, which Andre Tan himself called symbolic.
Special attention should be paid to the jacket. It is asymmetrical, fastens with a large black button closer to the left side and has a pocket on the right.
"The jacket from this suit has a white border and symbolizes the aspirations and hopes of the Ukrainian people, like the white stripe that always comes after the black one," the designer explained the symbolism of the outfit.
The designer also noted that the fabric for the suit was made by craftsmen from Chernihiv wool.
"From Chernihiv to New York and then on to the pages of the media around the world! We are grateful to Olena Zelenska for supporting the domestic stylist and to the Armed Forces and the Ukrainian people for their courage, strength and hope!" André Tan commented.
As a reminder, Olena Zelenska and President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in New York to participate in the 78th session of the UN General Assembly. On the first day of the visit, the wife of the Ukrainian leader wore a restrained and elegant suit from the Bobkova brand. It is noted that the closed, basic-colored outfit indicates Zelenska's serious intentions. Details are in our material.
