For the first time, Olha Sumska commented on the scandal surrounding her daughter, who lives in Russia and earns "bloody rubles" there

For the first time, the famous Ukrainian actress Olha Sumska commented on the high-profile scandal that has been going on for more than two years around her daughter and colleague Antonina Paperna. The latter remained in Moscow after the full-scale invasion, and not so long ago she also boasted of filming in a Russian TV series, which, was not the first time she had done so. Sumska's nephew and Paperna's cousin, actor Vyacheslav Khostikoiev, reacted sharply to this precedent, saying that his cousin was "earning bloody rubles."

Ukrainians were waiting for a comment from Sumska, and she gave it, assuring them that she felt pain, remorse, and atonement. The actress said that only those mothers whose children are also in the terrorist country can understand her. Such comments were made by the People's Artist of Ukraine in a commentary to the "ZhVL".

Sumska also admitted that she misses her grandchildren and would like to see them.

"Do you know what feelings reign in my soul today? Pain, despair, longing, remorse, atonement. Only those mothers whose children are there will understand me. It is very difficult. I have no right to justify myself, to prove anything to anyone, because I see destitute, unhappy mothers and fathers who have lost their children. I just have to pray to hug my children and grandchildren. Because I am a grandmother, and this is my continuation. I miss them very much," Sumska said.

However, Sumska did not comment on Paperna's filming in Russian projects or her earnings in Russia.

Earlier, Antonina Paperna was seen with her husband, the famous Russian actor Volodymyr Yahlych, in Moscow at the presentation of new films by the Russian service Kinoposhuk. This website has been banned in Ukraine since 2017.

Earlier, Sumska said that her daughter can not return home, but the reason still remains unclear. The Ukrainian film star assured that the traitor was "very hard" because of the war, but apparently not enough to give up earnings in rubles and sponsorship from Russia.
