Details of Matthew Perry's will have been released: who will receive the actor's $1 million estate

Before his death on October 29, 2023, the legendary Friends actor Matthew Perry had already drawn up a will, according to which all his property, valued at more than $1 million, was transferred to the Alvy Singer Living Trust. The actor thought about his future death in advance back in 2009, when this document appeared.

According to People magazine, which gained access to the will, the beneficiaries of the trust are his father John Perry, mother Suzanne Morrison, and half-sisters Caitlin Morrison and Rachel Dunn. Interestingly, the document states that none of his descendants (whom the actor never left behind) will have access to the estate.

The magazine noted that all copyrights, trademarks, his name, as well as further royalties, investments, cash, securities, and his home were included in the will. After Perry's death, the value of all his achievements was calculated and estimated at $1,030,000.

In particular, while he was still alive, the star transferred part of his fortune to the executors of his will - Lisa Ferguson and Robina Ruzan. In particular, the latter is the ex-wife of Mike Myers and the executive producer of the game show Celebrity Liar, in which Perry starred in 2010.

As a reminder, on October 28, 2023, the body of 54-year-old Matthew Perry was found by his assistant Kenny Ivamas in a Jacuzzi. During the search, law enforcement officers did not find drugs in his apartment, which the actor had been addicted to for many years. However, they did find a lot of prescription drugs, including antidepressants.

According to those close to him, including his ex-girlfriend Katie Edwards, the actor died due to an overdose of medication he received from a nurse. In the Mirror, the woman suggests that the nurse sold Perry an additional dose of the drug, which was fatal for him.

OBOZ.UA previously reported that the police had already closed the case of the actor's death. The cause, named during the autopsy, was confirmed - coronary heart disease and the effect of buprenorphine (an opioid analgesic) led to drowning.
