Bohdan Beniuk says he would like to head the Security Service of Ukraine

Bohdan Beniuk, a theater and film actor, People's Artist of Ukraine, and director of the Podil Theater in Kyiv, has expressed his desire to become the head of the Security Service of Ukraine. First of all, the actor would like to turn it into the "God's Service of Ukraine."

Beniuk said this in an interview with Ukrainian TV presenter Oleksii Sukhanov on YouTube. The actor also commented on the scandal with Iryna Farion over the language issue.

"I would like to head the SBU... I would turn it into the 'Service of God of Ukraine,'" the guest said. Benyuk emphasized the importance of cultural influence on the cadets, in particular, he mentioned actors' meetings, movie premieres, and work with teachers. "If we don't educate these cadets in national consciousness and love for Ukraine, we will raise very good traitors," the artist quoted the rector of the SBU Academy, with whom he once had a conversation.

Bohdan Beniuk noted that Ukrainian should be especially well understood and spoken by people holding public office. "And we understand that government officials, media, the army, the oath of allegiance, what language do they read? Further, kindergartens, new generations must speak Ukrainian at work, as well as in the theater, because it is a state institution," he added.

The interviewer did not ignore the recent scandal involving Irina Farion, which was directly related to the language issue. Sukhanov mentioned that there are many rumors surrounding the linguist's identity, including that she belongs to the FSB and that the scandal was artificial.

"Why would you and I, wise people, discuss what a grandmother told a grandmother?" the guest replied, adding that he knew Farion personally, so he trusted her. "I would like you and me to work in the SBU," Beniuk continued. - "We already have a lot of traitors who are still sitting here in Ukraine. There are a huge number of them."
