The eight-year legal battle between Hollywood actors Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt has finally come to an end. On Monday, December 30, the stars made a fateful decision, namely, they signed a divorce agreement.

According to People, the 49-year-old actress's lawyer confirmed the official breakup of the celebrities' marriage. It is noted that after years of litigation, Jolie feels exhausted, but at the same time happy that this difficult stage of life is over.

"More than eight years ago, Angelina filed for divorce from Mr. Pitt. She and the children left all the property they shared with Mr. Pitt, and since then she has focused on finding peace and healing for her family. This is just one part of a long process that began eight years ago. Frankly, Angelina is exhausted, but she is relieved that this part is behind her," said the star's representative.

According to a source close to Angelina Jolie, despite all the problems she had to face because of her ex-husband, she never says anything bad about Pitt. The actress tries to be "light after dark times".

In a statement filed with the Los Angeles Superior Court, it is claimed that Pitt insulted the celebrity before the infamous plane incident in 2016, which led to the divorce. Then, according to the actress, her husband yelled at her, grabbed her head, shook her, pushed her into the bathroom wall, and punched the ceiling of the plane several times. This all happened in front of their descendants, and when one of them called Pitt a "fool," the celebrity attacked him as well.
