Already a platoon commander: TNMK's Fozzy tells about the service of the son of his deceased friend, host Igor Pelykh
Ivan Pelykh, 22, is the eldest of three children of the once-famous Ukrainian TV presenter and producer Igor Pelykh, who tragically died in a car accident in May 2009. After the full-scale invasion, the showman's heir took up arms and went to the front. He is now a platoon commander. This was told by Oleksandr "Fozzy" Sydorenko, the lead singer of the band "Dance on Congo Square" (TNMK), who was friends with the young soldier's father.
According to the musician, he keeps in touch with Ivan. In particular, he provides volunteer assistance to him and his unit. Fozzy spoke about this for TSN.ua's YouTube project "Alone".
The singer noted that he once raised funds for an anti-drone system for Ivan Pelykh, and together with his bandmates sent medical backpacks to the guy's unit.
"Ivan is at war. He is a military man. He asked us to help him raise funds for an anti-drone system. Then I sent two medical backpacks to my friend, and it turned out that they were for the unit where he is a platoon commander," said Sydorenko.
In addition, TNMK recently released a video for a new song called "Find Me". In it, viewers could also see Ivan. In the video, he played himself - a defender arriving at the Kyiv railway station.
It should be noted that Ivan Pelykh, like his father, decided to connect his life with film and television. He studied to be a director at the Karpenko-Kary University of Arts and worked as a cameraman. However, the young man's plans changed dramatically after Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine. At the end of February 2022, Ivan decided that he could be useful at the front line, as he knew how to fly a drone, which he had previously used for creative filming. At first, the guy ended up in the Kyiv military industrial complex. Later, he fought in Lysychansk and in the Bakhmut sector.
