Adele explains why she burst into tears in front of Celine Dion at a concert: I keep her photo next to the stage
British singer Adele commented on a special moment that took place at her concert in Las Vegas on October 26. During the performance, the artist saw Celine Dion among the audience.
As you know, the Canadian star suffers from "stiff man syndrome," which causes muscle stiffness. Due to her health condition, Dion was forced to end her music career and rarely appears in public. However, her presence at Adele's concert came as a real surprise – the singer interrupted her performance, hugged Celine, and burst into tears. On her Instagram page, the celebrity explained why she was overcome with emotion.
"I've been performing at the Celine Dion Hall at the Colosseum for almost 2 years now," the British artist wrote, "It was the only place I wanted to perform in Vegas because it was built for her. I keep a picture of her next to the stage that I touch every night before I go out in public and she came to the show this weekend, it was a surprise." The venue was built in 2003 for Dion's "A New Day..." residency.
"Céline, I love you so much," Adele continued, "Words cannot express what you mean to me, or what it means to have you on my show, let alone how I felt when I saw you in your palace with your beautiful family... Thank you so much."
As a reminder, the sensual moment with the singers went viral on TikTok. While singing the hit song "When We Were Young," the 36-year-old Briton entered the audience, and when she saw Celine Dion among the audience, she stopped the song and hugged the artist.
