A video of ALEKSEEV singing in Russian in a Tel Aviv nightclub was posted online: the artist's team explained everything

A video of Ukrainian singer ALEKSEEV (real name: Mykyta Alieksieiev) in an Israeli nightclub in Tel Aviv was posted online. The footage shows the artist singing his hit song "Drunken Sun" in Russian.

He has long since translated the track into the state language, so journalist Alina Dorotiuk had questions for the star about why he still sings in the language of the aggressor country. The performer's team replied that it was an isolated incident and that the organizers had asked him for the original hit.

"Some of the visitors were very much triggered by this. It is not surprising. There is no end in sight to the war, and we continue to tolerate the language of the aggressor at the public level. I asked the artist's press service for official comments," Dorotiuk wrote.

In response, the journalist was assured that after the Russian version, Alekseev sang in Ukrainian. This can also be heard in the video.

"The artist's performance lasted 45 minutes, it was a Ukrainian-language concert program, but at the request of the organizers, the song "Drunken Sun" was first performed in the original language, and at the end of the encore, Mykyta performed the same song again in an updated form - in Ukrainian," the press service said.

The star's team also added that at his solo concerts, he sings exclusively in Ukrainian, including translated songs. It was a charity concert for refugees from Ukraine in Israel.

Such incidents are not uncommon among Ukrainian artists. Recently, at a concert in Kazakhstan, singer Vera Brezhneva performed a Russian-language program by the band VIA Gra and thanked the "silent" Meladze for this opportunity.
