A rare appearance: after a difficult year, Kate Middleton congratulated citizens and received a gift. Photo
Kate Middleton was spotted during the British royal family's traditional walk to St. Mary Magdalene Church on the Sandringham estate. This is where the monarchs usually spend Christmas every year.
On December 25, the Princess of Wales, together with her husband Prince William, and children Prince George, 11, Princess Charlotte, 9, and Prince Louis, 6, as well as other members of the royal family, walked out to the British people lined up along the route to congratulate citizens on the holiday. King Charles and Queen Camilla led the Christmas walk, People writes.
The Princess, holding hands with her youngest son Louis, looked festive in a green Alexander McQueen coat, which she has worn before, including during a visit to Leeds in January 2023. She paired the outerwear with a plaid scarf, as well as black gloves and boots.
After the service, Kate warmly greeted people who wanted to see the monarchs. With a bright smile, she shook hands, accepted flowers, and knelt down to talk to small children.
This year's festive appearance is especially significant for Middleton after a tumultuous 2024 in which the princess had to undergo chemotherapy. During the year, mostly dedicated to her health, Kate rarely appeared at official royal events.
