A musician of the legendary rock band KISS died in an accident: all the circumstances of the tragedy

On February 19, musician Carl Cochran, who collaborated with the famous American rock band KISS, died as a result of a traffic accident. The man had previously suffered a massive stroke, but never stopped fighting for his life.

This was reported on the official page of KISS on the social network X. "Carl was an extraordinary vocalist and guitarist... He was a favorite of our fans around the world for his performances... We express our deepest condolences to Gary and his family," they said.

The Bridgewater Police Department has reported that guitarist Carl Cochran has died in a car accident in Bridgewater, New Jersey. He was 61 years old.

Cochran was in the passenger seat of a 2015 Subaru Legacy when the car hit a tree at about 7:20 a.m. local time on Wednesday, February 19. His 90-year-old mother, Arna Cochran, was driving.

"She backed up across the yard and struck a tree, causing Cochran to be ejected from the car," the statement said.

Carl Cochran was flown by New Jersey State Police to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick "with life-threatening injuries," where he died.

When Carl was 13 years old, he began studying with legendary jazz guitarist Harry Leahy, who recognized his talent and pushed him on technique, style, and method, while providing invaluable guidance and a shining example of work ethic and dedication. Harry not only taught and inspired Carl musically, he also taught him how to be a professional and a good person.

Carl Cochran has been a professional musician since the age of 14. He has worked with such prominent musicians as Joe Lynn Turner (Deep Purple, Rainbow), Corky Lang (Mountain), Felix Pappalardi (Cream), jazzman Ricky Sebastian, Eric Singer (Black Sabbath), Brian May of Queen, Bob Daisley (Black Sabbath, Rainbow, Ozzy Osbourne), Matt Abbs (Government Mule), Dave Whitman and many others.

Cochran collaborated and wrote songs for KISS with Ace Frehley, including "Into the Void", which appeared on the band's platinum album "Psycho Circus". Carl played guitar and sang on the Ace Frehley tribute album "Return of the Comet" in the songs "Strange Ways" and "Love Her All I Can" with KISS' Eric Singer.

Later, Carl toured with Eric Singer's ESP (Eric Singer Project) alongside Bruce Kulick (KISS) and John Corabi (Union, Motley Crue) in the late 1990s. Carl also played on ESP's release "Lost and Spaced", which contained covers of classic rock songs.
