"A dawn in the life of each of us": NK & SWOIIA presented an unexpected duet

NK & SWOIIA presented their joint track "Shine", which is filled with sensuality and faith in a bright future. The artists sang together to remind us of the dawn in the life of each of us.

"'Shine' is a song that inspires and energizes in this difficult period. We all remember that the darkest times are before the dawn. Now all Ukrainians dream of a dawn without worries. Each of us has an inner radiance, and when more than forty million Ukrainians combine this radiance into an incredibly powerful stream, it should bring light and good things to everyone's life. That's why I came up with the idea to create this song," explains NK.

The video "Shine" was created by the creative director of Eurovision 2023 from Ukraine, director of photography and music video maker Herman Nenov. They have been working with Nastya Kamenskykh (also known as NK) for several years now, and according to the director, they have always had maximum synergy and unity of thought. But it was the first time they met SWOIIA on the set. According to the director, the artists had a surprisingly organic collaboration, in which they did not compete with each other, but subtly felt and complemented each other in front of the camera.

"The idea for the song 'Shine' came from Nastya, I added my emotions and feelings to it, put my whole soul into it, and this creative collaboration was born. It was a very harmonious creative period, Nastya and I perfectly complemented each other in the process of creating the track, because singing about light and goodness is always incredibly inspiring. The shooting of the video "Shine" proved once again that we are kindred spirits. We spent the whole day with Nastya on the set, and during this time we were not only not tired, but, on the contrary, we had a powerful energy exchange, we were inspired by each other!" SWOIIA shared her impressions of the joint work.

Herman Nenov also spoke about the idea of the video: "This video is a color palette of the emotional state of every Ukrainian this fall. Black is the color of grief and longing that each of us feels in our hearts now. White is the color of light, purity of hearts and thoughts of each of us. Orange is the color of dawn, hope and faith in a bright future. And silver color symbolizes the steel unbreakable hearts of each of us. It was through the language of colors that I tried to shape the mood of this video and make it as warm and pure as possible."
