The United States and Australia have condemned Russia's" illegal and immoral" war against Ukraine. They called on Russia to withdraw its troops from Ukraine "immediately, fully, and unconditionally."

Washington and Canberra also emphasized the need for Russia to compensate Ukraine for the damage it caused during the invasion. This is stated in a joint statement following the ministerial consultations, Voice of America reports.

The Ministers of Defense and Foreign Ministers of the United States and Australia announced their support for the Ukrainian Peace Summit and called on countries that influence Russia to stop supporting the aggressor country's defense industry. This call applies, in particular, to China.

The United States and Australia also paid attention to the DPRK and Iran. They condemned Russia's cooperation with North Korea, and in the case of Tehran, the proliferation of ballistic missiles and the provision of drones to Russia for use in the war against Ukraine, as well as the expansion of Iran's nuclear program.

During the final press conference, U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken called Australia the country that helps Ukraine the most among non-NATO members. He praised Australia for the transfer of air defense equipment to Kyiv and assistance in training Ukrainian personnel in the UK.

"We are working together to address common security challenges, from China's coercive behavior to Russia's war of choice against Ukraine, to instability in the Middle East," said US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Australia has announced a new military aid package for Ukraine worth $250 million. This is the largest aid package since the beginning of the full-scale war.
