The Israeli Defense Forces continue to eliminate the leadership of the Hezbollah terrorist organization. As a result of regular air strikes on Beirut, the new leader of the militants, Hashim Safi al-Din, was killed.

It is worth noting that he had been the terrorist leader for only 48 hours. This was reported by The Times of Israel.

Hashim Safi al-Din took over as leader of Hezbollah a few days after the elimination of Hassan Nasrallah. According to preliminary reports, Safi al-Din was killed on the night of October 3 in the southern suburbs of Beirut.

Local media, citing three Israeli officials, said that the Hezbollah leader was present at a meeting with other senior leaders of the group in an underground bunker. There has been no official announcement of the death of terrorist Safi al-Din, but Israeli security officials are increasingly convinced that he is dead.

On the morning of October 4, the Israeli Defense Forces announced that the airstrike in Beirut was aimed at the Hezbollah intelligence headquarters. The Israeli military did not disclose who was in the underground bunker.

At the same time, the IDF press service later confirmed that the commander of Hezbollah's communications unit, Mohammad Rashid Sakafi, was killed in Beirut. The Israeli military noted that Sakafi was a senior official who had been in charge of the communications unit since 2000. It is also known that he made significant efforts to develop communication capabilities between all Hezbollah units.

As a reminder, the day before, on October 3, the IDF announced the elimination of one of the leaders of Hezbollah's guided missile project, Mahmoud Yousef Anisi.

Earlier it was reported that on September 29, the IDF announced the elimination of Hezbollah air force commander Mohammed Hussein Srour in Beirut.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, on September 27, the Israel Defense Forces launched a powerful strike on Dahiyeh, a suburb of Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. The target was the main headquarters of Hezbollah. This strike eliminated the leader of the Hezbollah terrorist group, Hassan Nasrallah. Along with him, other militant leaders were killed in the bunker.
