On the night of April 25, the blades of the famous Moulin Rouge cabaret windmill collapsed in Paris. The fall also damaged the facade of the Parisian cabaret located in the Pigalle district.
Since the incident occurred at night, there were no injuries. This was reported by BFM TV.
The broken windmill blades were covered with a green tarpaulin, and the scene was fenced around the perimeter. The cause of the fall is currently unknown. However, experts have reassured that there is no further risk of collapse. The Moulin Rouge management also ruled out any malicious acts.
The fall of the blades caused only minor material damage. According to the deputy security officer of the 18th arrondissement of Paris, the national police and a team from the municipal police and the prevention department were also sent to the scene.
It is noteworthy that the venue continues to operate and the venue's website still offers tickets for the evening show.
"Fortunately, it happened after the closure. Every week, the cabaret's technical crews check the windmill mechanism and do not note any problems. This is the first time such an accident has occurred since the cabaret opened its doors on October 6, 1889," said a Moulin Rouge spokesperson.
