Self-proclaimed President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko has suddenly started talking about the need for sustainable peace in the world and negotiations. He noted that Belarus is ready to take on the role of a negotiating platform for conflict resolution.

Lukashenko said this at the third Voice of the Global South summit, according to Belarusian media. The Belarusian dictator said that wars and conflicts are provoked by Western countries and that the arms race is now gaining unprecedented momentum.

"But no development is possible without sustainable peace and resolution of global contradictions. That's why Belarus has repeatedly come up with peace initiatives and taken on the role of a negotiation platform for conflict resolution," he said.

Lukashenko added that Belarus plans to continue this work.

As a reminder, Lukashenko recently called on Ukraine and the aggressor country Russia to sit down at the negotiating table and end "this fight" – as he called the Russian war against our country. He said that only the West allegedly wants the war to continue.

At the same time, Lukashenko recently ordered the transfer of some military equipment to Russia to meet the needs of the Russian army fighting in Ukraine. He took it from the units of the current Belarusian army, as their arsenals were also depleted. Lukashenko has essentially disarmed his troops to please Putin.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, Lukashenko panicked that Russia might lose the war. He said that if Russia falls, all the CIS countries will be involved, and Belarus will be "dealt with separately."
