Iran has unveiled a new version of the Shahed-136B kamikaze drone. This UAV was demonstrated on Saturday, September 21, at a parade in Tehran to commemorate the beginning of the Iran-Iraq war.

This was reported by Tasnim News Agency. It is stated that the range of the Shahed-136B drone is 4000 km.

For comparison, the previous version had a flight range of 1000 km.

According to Militarnyi, the new Shahed, judging by the photos, has not only a new hull, but also a completely different aerodynamic scheme.

"Instead of the flying wing scheme, a classic aerodynamic scheme was chosen. This indicates that the Shahed-136B is rather a new UAV that uses the experience gained during the creation and improvement of the Shahed-136, rather than its modernization," the article says.

At the same time, the new UAV still uses a piston internal combustion engine as a powerplant.

As a reminder, Russia has set up its own production of the previous version of the Shahed, which the Russian army has been using to attack Ukraine.

As reported by OBOZ.UA, according to media reports, Iran handed over Fath-360 short-range ballistic missiles to Russia in early September, but the entire shipment was incomplete. In particular, the missiles lacked launchers.
