In Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, on January 10, local residents again protested against the pro-Russian policies of Prime Minister Robert Fico, who traveled to Moscow to see dictator Putin in late December. About 15,000 people took to the streets.

The anti-government rally in Bratislava was organized by activists of the Peace to Ukraine movement under the slogan "Slovakia is Europe, enough of Russia!". This was reported by aktuality.sk.

The protesters held placards with the words "Fico is a collaborator and Russian agent" and chanted slogans expressing dissatisfaction with the head of the Slovak government, in particular his "friendship" with the Russian dictator. The opposition Democrats party also joined the protests.

Similar rallies were held in several other cities in Slovakia, including Kosice, Banska Bystrica, Žilina Poprad, etc. In Prague, people also came to the Slovak Embassy to show support for the Slovak people.

In the Slovak capital, where, according to preliminary data, about 15,000 people gathered, protesters chanted: "Slovakia is Europe," "Fico is enough," "We will not be silent," and "Our strength is in unity."

It should be reminded that after Fico left for the Kremlin on December 22, rallies were already held in Bratislava. The rally, titled "Enough of Russia," was organized by the public association Peace to Ukraine and held in front of the government building. The protest was attended by former prime ministers Igor Matovic and Eduard Heger, opposition leaders, as well as artists and Ukrainian refugees.

On January 3, another rally was held in Bratislava against Robert Fico and his trips to Moscow to see Russian dictator Putin. About four thousand people attended the rally. People held posters with the slogans "Slovakia, beware, the occupation has begun" and "Fico, go to Moscow, leave Slovakia alone."

As reported by OBOZ.UA, in Slovakia, opposition politicians criticized Fico for his trip to Putin. The Prime Minister was told that negotiations on gas transit should have been conducted with Ukraine, not Russia. The visit to the Kremlin was called a betrayal of national interests.
